POV: You think a travel agency retreat is just matching outfits and poolside photos. 😌
Meanwhile, us:
📍 Mastermind sessions
📍 Resort site inspections
📍 Supplier meetings
📍 Brand content creation
📍 Business strategy
📍 Team collaboration
📍 Researching what’s actually worth recommending to clients
Sure, there were palm trees.
But there were also a whole lot of conversations about how to serve our clients better, stay sharp as advisors, and keep building an agency we’re proud of.
The travel industry changes constantly.
The best advisors don’t stop learning.
And honestly? Building something meaningful with a team you genuinely enjoy is a pretty great bonus. 💛
Planning a family vacation should feel exciting… not like a second unpaid job. 😅
Between comparing resorts, figuring out which room categories are actually worth it, understanding what’s included (and what definitely isn’t), airport transfers, dining logistics, kids’ clubs, flight schedules, and trying to make sure everyone from toddlers to grandparents is happy… it’s a lot.
That’s where we come in.
We spend our days learning destinations, touring resorts, building supplier relationships, and matching families with trips that actually fit their travel style, priorities, and budget.
Because a beautiful resort on Instagram doesn’t automatically mean it’s the right fit for your family.
If you’re investing thousands into a family vacation, having expert guidance is a pretty solid use of that budget.
Ready to stop comparison-shopping yourself into oblivion? Send us a message. ✈️☀️
You can’t ever be sad about a “work trip” when you’re in a beautiful destination and you’ve got your team around you!
It’s been a long time coming, but getting together in person for our retreat this year was a huge gift. We didn’t just lounge by the pool (which sounded nice) but we got to work together doing site tours, chatting about our workflows and processes, sharing our little hacks and tricks, asking each other genuine questions, etc.
The time together is irreplaceable. 🤍
There’s something really special about getting the right people physically in the same room.
Not for competition.
Not for perfectly curated highlight reels.
Just real conversations, shared ideas, honest challenges, big laughs, and the kind of collaboration that reminds us why community matters so much in this industry.
This week at our Bright Life retreat, we spent time talking marketing, client experience, sales, systems, content creation, AI, business growth, and all the little behind-the-scenes things that actually make a business sustainable. But honestly, the best part was simply being together. Sharing ideas openly. Learning from each other. Supporting each other. Celebrating wins and working through challenges as a team.
One thing we’re incredibly proud of at Bright Life is the culture we’re building. We believe there is room for all of us to succeed, and this week was such a good reminder of how powerful collaboration can be when everyone shows up willing to share, learn, and grow together.
There were resort tours, strategy sessions, content days, countless photos, lots of laughter, and at least a few moments where none of us knew what day it was anymore… which feels like the sign of a pretty successful retreat. 😂
We’re leaving inspired, refreshed, and so excited for what’s ahead for this team and the clients we serve. ✨
o you know where the name Bright Life Travel came from?
I wanted a business rooted in positivity. In seeing the bright side. In creating experiences that actually make people feel alive, connected, inspired, and cared for. A business that focused on the good, and I wanted anyone associated with the business, whether it be our clients or our advisors to feel that light.
That’s where Bright Life was born.
Not because life is always perfect (because airport delays and lost luggage love to humble us), but because I believe we get to choose what kind of energy we bring into the world—and into the way we travel, work, and connect with people.
So no, Bright Life was never just a brand name. It’s a reminder to look for the good stuff. The meaningful moments. The light.

What happens when hard work actually gets recognized?
This week, we’re heading out on our annual agency retreat, and it feels like one of those moments where you stop and realize how much can change in a year.
Three of our advisors hit a major sales milestone this past year, and part of this trip is getting to celebrate that.
Not in a flashy way. Just in a very real, “we see the work you’ve put in” kind of way.
Because this business isn’t just about booking trips.
It’s about showing up for your clients, staying consistent, and building something that actually lasts.
And at the same time, this retreat is for our whole team.
A chance to step away from the day-to-day, learn from each other, and continue growing together.
Different stages. Same direction.
Honestly, it makes us really excited for where this is all heading.
If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like to build a travel business like this, we’re always open to connecting with the right people.
A few days out of the office… so we can show up even better for you.
This week, our team is in Cancun connecting with resort partners, touring properties, and collaborating on what’s actually working right now in travel.
Because great trips don’t just come from pretty photos online.
They come from firsthand experience, strong relationships, and knowing exactly which details matter for your specific trip.
We’re walking the resorts, asking better questions, and paying attention to the things you don’t have time to research.
All so when you’re ready to plan, we’re not guessing.
We’re guiding.
Follow along as we share where we’re staying, what we’re seeing, and what we’d recommend (and maybe what we wouldn’t 👀).
When you’re ready to start planning something like this for yourself, we’ve got you.
No meals to plan.
No schedules to juggle.
No one asking what’s for dinner before you’ve had coffee.
Just space to breathe, reset, and actually enjoy time together.
This is the part of travel people don’t always talk about…
how much lighter life feels when every detail is already handled.
If you’ve been needing a break like this, consider this your sign.
We’ll take care of the planning. You just show up.
Cruising is one of those trips where a few small things can make a big difference in your experience.
And if you’ve ever gotten on board and thought, “Wait… I wish I had known that,” you’re not alone.
There are definitely some unspoken rules (and a few insider tips) that can take your trip from good to this is exactly what I needed.
We pulled together a few of our go-to do’s and don’ts to help you feel a little more prepared before you sail.
Save this for later, send it to your travel buddy, and if you’re in the early stages of planning a cruise, we can help you figure out which ship and itinerary actually fit your trip.
Because not all cruises are the same, and the right fit makes all the difference.
