Things we’re ghosting this October (and helping our clients ghost too).
The 214-message group chat about who gets the villa room with the view. Chasing six cousins for a Venmo deposit. A 4am alarm for Disney dining reservations. Finding out at the airport that “expires in 5 months” counts as expired for a lot of countries.
None of that is your job anymore. Our family travel advisors handle the logistics for multigenerational trips, group vacations, cruises, and Disney, so the only group text you need is the one where everyone says “I’m so excited.”
Which one would you ghost first? Tell us in the comments. If it’s all of them, the link in our bio is where trip planning starts.
Five family vacation splurges that are actually worth the money (and no, we’re not just being bougie).
A private airport transfer. Nobody is at their best in a shuttle line after a full travel day with kids. Your driver is waiting, and you’re poolside while everyone else is still looking for the bus.
A suite or connecting rooms. Bedtime at 8pm shouldn’t mean you sitting in the dark scrolling your phone at 1% brightness. Give the kids their own space and you get your evening back.
An extra night before your cruise. Flights get delayed and ships leave on time. Fly in the day before so your cruise vacation starts relaxed, not with a sprint to the port.
Travel insurance. It’s the thing you hope you never use, until a stomach bug, a canceled flight or a missing suitcase shows up on vacation.
A travel advisor. Yes, we put ourselves on the list. Hear us out. We catch the details you didn’t know to ask about, and we’re one text away when your flight gets rerouted at 11pm.
📌Save this for when you start planning spring break or summer travel. Then tap the link in our bio and we’ll plan the trip around your family.
If you love to travel but your real life runs at full chaos (same), you’re exactly who we plan for. You want the trip. You don’t want the 47 open tabs, the reviews that contradict each other, and the 11pm spreadsheet that comes with it.
That’s the part we take off your plate. We’re a boutique team of independent travel advisors who design custom vacations for busy families. You tell us what you want out of the trip, and we handle the research, the comparing, the booking, and the “wait, how do we actually get from the airport to the resort” detective work.
If you want a travel expert in your corner for your next vacation, send us a DM or an email. We’d love to help.
Fewer tabs. More trip.
Every week someone asks us “when’s the best time to go?” and every week our answer starts with “okay, what are you willing to trade?”
The internet will hand you one perfect month. It doesn’t exist. Peak season costs more because you’re buying certainty. Low season is cheap for a reason (hurricanes, closures, shorter park hours). And shoulder season is where most of our families end up landing.
The windows we steer clients toward over and over:
Disney World: late January into early February, or after Labor Day before the holiday decor goes up. But if your crew wants fireworks and late nights, a busier week with later closes can be the smarter build.
Mexico and Caribbean all inclusives: the week after Easter through early June. Warm water, spring breakers have gone home, rates drop.
Europe: late May or September instead of July. Same long days, way fewer people, and the little restaurants you came for are actually open.
Cruises: depends on the route. Caribbean January to April books first, Alaska in May or September for value.
If spring break and summer are your only windows, your tradeoffs look different than an empty nester’s, and that’s exactly the conversation we like having.
DM us three things: where you’re thinking, what matters most (weather, crowds, or price), and whether school picks your dates. We’ll tell you when we’d go.
Save this for the next time the family group chat says “we should go somewhere.”
Some travel mistakes are obvious.
These are not those. 😅
They’re the plans that look perfectly reasonable on paper — until you realize your “easy” international connection involves customs, rechecking bags, and a full sprint through the airport.
Or that yes, technically six people *fit* in that cruise cabin.
Or that the resort room you found for $200 less is a 12-minute walk from the pool your kids will ask to visit approximately 47 times a day.
Good travel planning isn’t just finding a flight, a room, or an itinerary that works.
It’s knowing the questions you didn’t know you needed to ask.
It’s understanding the difference between **possible** and **actually a good idea.**
And it’s catching the little details that can have a very big impact on how a trip feels once you’re actually there.
The good news? You don’t have to know all the red flags.
That’s our job. ✨
Planning something for 2027? Now is a very good time to start.
Your PTO called. It’s tired of waiting.
You’ve saved the resort reels. You’ve taken the screenshots. You have a Notes app list titled “Maybe Europe?” that is somehow both extremely detailed and not a plan.
That’s where we come in.
We’ll turn the pile of tabs, screenshots, and group-chat opinions into an actual vacation plan, with the right hotels, flights, and details handled.
Ready to give your PTO something to look forward to? Send us a message or reach out through the travel inquiry link in our bio.
“Family-friendly” is a starting point. It’s definitely not enough information to plan your family’s vacation.
Because two families with the exact same number of kids can need two completely different trips.
One wants a resort where everything is close and bedtime can happen without a 15-minute trek back to the room.
Another needs enough going on that their teenagers don’t ask, “What are we doing today?” before breakfast.
One needs connecting rooms. Another needs a great kids club. Someone has a picky eater. Someone still naps. Someone would rather skip the giant resort entirely.
Those details matter.
When you work with Bright Life, we’re not just searching for what’s highly rated or technically “family-friendly.” We’re looking for what actually fits your family.
So tell us the oddly specific stuff.
It’s usually where the best recommendations start. ✨
There are two ways to plan a family vacation. ✌️
One involves 37 browser tabs, Reddit rabbit holes, comparing rates you’re not quite sure are actually comparable, and eventually declaring, “It’ll probably be fine.”
The other involves working with people who do this every day.
We help families sort through the noise and make the decisions that actually matter — the right resort, the right room, the flight that makes sense, the transfer that’s already waiting, and all those tiny details you usually don’t realize matter until you’re actually on the trip.
Because the goal isn’t just to book a vacation.
It’s to plan the right vacation for your family — without turning it into your newest unpaid part-time job.
Rock, paper, scissors… travel advisor. We know what we’re picking. 😉
If your vacation planning currently involves 47 browser tabs, 19 saved posts, and a group chat where nobody will commit to a hotel, you do not need more options. You need direction.
A travel advisor helps match the trip to the actual people taking it. We compare the details, coordinate the moving pieces, figure out where an upgrade is actually worth it, and make sure your airport transfer does not quietly close before your flight lands.
You still choose the fun stuff. We just make sure it all works together.
Have a trip idea buried somewhere between your screenshots and half-finished notes? Send us a message. Our advisors can help you turn it into a travel plan that makes sense.
There’s a lot going on in those minds. Maybe too much sometimes, but we take our jobs seriously and we’re always thinking about the best possible outcomes for our clients. ✨
