If you want to maximize your PTO in 2026, this is your sign to start planning now.

By pairing paid time off with U.S. federal holidays, you can turn a few PTO days into longer vacations throughout the year. Strategic travel planning around holidays like MLK Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas can unlock 9 to 17 consecutive days off, depending on your schedule.

This kind of PTO strategy works especially well for:
• Families planning school-break travel
• Couples trying to stretch limited vacation time
• Professionals who want fewer, longer trips instead of lots of short weekends

The key is knowing which weeks make the most sense for travel, which destinations actually work well during holiday periods, and when booking early really matters.

Save this post if you are thinking about 2026 travel, and if you want help choosing destinations that match these PTO windows, that is exactly what we do.

For trips that involve school schedules, group travel, cruises, Europe, or high demand destinations, early planning allows for better availability, smoother logistics, and an itinerary that fits your priorities.

Waiting does not usually mean more options. It often means fewer.

We are already working with clients on 2026 travel, and now is the ideal time to start the planning process.

If 2026 travel is on your radar, we would love to help you get ahead of it.

Thoughts as I was taking down Christmas decor yesterday…

I love Christmas. Truly. The music, the traditions, the magic, all of it.

And still, every year, I’m surprised by how peaceful & exciting it feels to pack it away and make room for what’s next. A fresh start, a clean slate!

I’ve noticed this same feeling show up in so many parts of life.
With motherhood. With work. With seasons that were good and meaningful and exactly what I needed at the time.

I loved my kids as babies. I still soak up Cal being four.
And I also love joking with Hudson at 13, watching Jude and Emory grow into themselves, and seeing who they’re becoming. I wouldn’t turn the clock back - not because those seasons weren’t beautiful and I do miss things about them, but because this one is, too.

Sometimes it’s okay to feel a little bittersweet.
And still say hello to the next chapter with anticipation.

🤍

Cheers to a new year and a new chapter!
