Two weeks ago, the European Union officially launched its new Entry/Exit System (EES), replacing passport stamps with digital records and biometric scans. It’s designed to make travel more secure and efficient, though travelers may notice slightly longer lines at first as the system rolls out.
Families can breathe easy — children under 12 won’t need fingerprints, just a quick photo and passport scan.
