Three tips to minimize overwhelm while planning a Disney Trip!

Overwhelm has become pretty common when it comes to planning trips to Disney. I hear it from clients all the time. It’s COMPLEX these days! There are some strategies you can use to help in the planning process!

Here are three tips to help navigate planning a trip to Disney:

1. Timing

Give yourself the gift of TIME. Book early. Not only will you have better options for hotels and resorts, you will have the time you need to get your ducks in a row. You can review dining options so you are ready when the 60-day mark arrives, and feel confident that you understand how Genie+ works.

2. Prioritize

When you look at the things you can do at a Disney park, the list is endless. Especially if we’re talking about Disneyworld! Did you know you can do a private tour in Animal Kingdom or go fishing off the boardwalk? Plain and simply, you probably can’t do it all. Not in a week or even a month.

Prioritize the things you REALLY want to see and keep your focus there. Think about what feels most important to your family at the time of travel. Does your little girl love princesses? Plan to spend time doing princess meet and greets. Does your toddler love all things Mickey? Throw in a character dining to ensure he’ll get to see Mickey Mouse up close. Once you have your priorities, everything else can be a bonus!

3. Use a travel agent!

By golly, just use a travel advisor. Our job is to literally help guide you through the process and help however you need it. You won’t have a 1-800 number or a email with automatic responses that are usually less than helpful… you’ll have a friend to call when you need to know the best way to get from Epcot to Hollywood Studios or when you are confused about the way a virtual queue works. The cost is no different to you and I promise you won’t regret it.
